collective haul: sephora and other purchases

hi. 🙋 my name is lindsay, and i have a problem: i hit rouge status again...in july. 🙊
if i miss discussing certain items photographed in this post, it's because they're all repurchases that i've talked about at least a handful of times before in the past. ~Lindsay ^.~

i'm not really sure what the hype with this kush mascara is... it's good, but like it's kind of dry compared to other mascaras, and performs ok-ish. every time i wore it, it'd flake and i'd have random black spots or streaks on my face.... i have been liking this sample of boscia's cactus water moisturizer! it's an interesting texture.
i'm not going to lie, i definitely bought this inner beauty favorites set for the bottle. i know. that's super sad. but i wanted to try it and have oneeeee. and the fenty liner is pretty awesome. i kind of wish it was a brush tip, but given the formula it's understandable that it's a felt tip.
i'm also finally on the estee lauder double wear bandwagon. i tried it for the first time just the other day and it's a lot more lightweight than the double wear light---which by name makes no sense, but you know... 💁 i'm in the shade 1w2 for those wondering. also, for as much as i kinda criticized the idea of redeeming this 250 point perk, the notebook and pen are actually nice. i love this type of pen!

had i hauled the bum bum bath bombas before...? they're amazing, but $10 each is expensive! so be sure to wait for sephora sales!
also, i had a sample of the clinique acne+line correcting serum, it's nice. i also got a sample of the new ddm jelly and i don't like it. i didn't feel like it did much for me, so it got passed along. and because i got them on the same trip, pictured here are the loreal brow stylist and febreze unstopables melts in shimmer (like the downy unstopables for your laundry). this brow gel is not the same as the previous and i'm not sure how i feel about it yet.
got a few things from sally's, target(?), and urban decay as well! i love these hair masks! and they were on sale at the time that i ordered them! these are the "OG" ones, not the new masks that aren't good whatsoever. then from urban decay, i redeemed my birthday sin highlighter...again. and i got another primer potion and their new-ish waterliner in legend. from sephora, i got an old favorite - buxom foundation in dim the light, the estee lauder double wear concealer in warm light, as well as the ordinary.'s makeup primer. i ended up passing the face primer along, because i couldn't deal with the scent.

sin, warm light, legend
a few more ulta things that i missed! also, i'm pretty sure i've converted to drunk elephant. the tlc sukari babyfacial is awesome!
and i also got a lot of goodies from beautylish. i was running low on parian spirit, and i needed more of the ordinary.'s salicylic acid. i also grabbed one of their retinoids to try. i tried out this clean apothecary brush shampoo, it works well enough, but i didn't try foundation-caked brushes in it yet. and i think this oribe dry shampoo was a freebie? i didn't order it, but it got passed along since i don't use them often enough.
it cosmetics has having a friends and family sale at the time i ordered this..if i remember right. got two favorites!
skindinavia - repurchasing because i needed more!

december & january hauls

hiya. part two of my december and january hauls: the other stuff. ~Lindsay

a beautiful mind a beautiful life -- so, i took a photo with not my book, lol. this is actually T or A's book, i actually preordered the kindle version and downloaded it the day it came out. then maybe a week or two later, i actually started reading the first section. unfortunately, i haven't had the patience to get back to reading it because of the fact that it's an ebook (using kindle for iphone), but reading just that first section prompted me to buy three physical copies for these two and my cousin. i really really need to get back to this book because i'm probably missing out on something good, but so many other things on the brain right now...
this is the item from november..? that i mentioned that i was giving to a friend as well. i actually took mine apart and gave a few of the pieces away as gifts, but i really wanted to try the dr. brandt magnetic mask, and i thought this was a pretty good price for all these items. and no, ugh, this is another skincare thing that i haven't tried using yet. #skincarebacklog ....
made an ulta order to try out these new loreal galaxy shadows. they are really pretty. i'm not as huge into full moon (gold one), but the other two...nice! then this tako mask is sooo funny. tako is japanese for octopus..as shown on the packaging, but the actual nose strip is shaped like the white thing on the tako's face. it has a bulby thing above your unibrow and then the nose part has two little wings on each side. it was pretty interesting to use and i liked it! and i also got two morphe brushes to try (M501, M530). i want to say that jaclyn hill mentioned these two as some of her favorites (a looong time ago and i noted them down), so i got them. then i got another impress nail set that i wore around christmas, which were one shine day style. i also wore a different set for new years, the kiss gel fantasy in faux real which for whatever reason i never photographed.. and i don't remember what sets these three liquid lipsticks from colourpop were from, but i bought a bunch as christmas gifts, broke them apart and saved these three for myself.

got a whole lotta random in this photo here! i decided that i haven't been washing my sponges often enough, so i wanted to get another set of real techniques erasers. these were like $2 on amazon from actual amazon (not fulfilled by!). yes, i think i'll take that and get it in two days! next, i actually ordered this with something for my sister in-law's christmas present..from china... i got a dissar purifying peel off mask because, i want to try the 'facebook' black mask. why not? at target, or maybe walmart?, i got the maybelline master prime blur and smooth primer to try. from sephora, i wanted to get the new kat von d studded kiss lipstick in bow n arrow because i really like the liquid lip version. and i think i was trying to use a gift card or use a coupon code or something, so i also got another urban decay vice liquid lipstick in amulet (love it! why's it on clearance?), and i wanted to try the ordinary.'s salicylic acid gel, and a mini belif true cream aqua bomb. and this is not really a haul item, but the lady that cuts my hair passed this hand cream along to my mom for me for christmas. i really need to go visit her again soon! lastly, because i wanted to even though i suck at hand lettering...i bought two more brush pens to play with. (tombow dual ended brush pen N15, zebra brush pen P-WF1)
amulet, bow n arrow (lipstick, liquid lipstick)
bow n arrow (studded kiss formula)
amulet
another sephora thinnng! i saw this sephora favorites selfie kit and had to get it. the tartiest liner is $24 by itself and it's full size. whatt. the marc jacobs mascara is great! i'm kinda whatever with the milk blur stick, and i'm passing the becca opal along because how many of these things have i ever gotten now... i think we're in the teens now for just opal alone. and i was interested in trying out this powder and liquid lip. as for freebies with purchase(s?), i got two tacha things and a blender cleanser solid mini. the water cream and the deep cleanse. i've tried the water cream maybe twice now, and i was very oily in the morning after, but not overly so. idk. and i haven't tried the cleanser yet. something else i haven't tried yet, but found on clearance at ulta, is this super cute tony moly set, which has a panda's dream cooling eye stick and a pocket bunny perfume bar.

review: loreal elvive extraordinary oil

hi guys! sometime in december, i was chosen to receive another influenster* voxbox!! this one contained a new hair oil from loreal! ~Lindsay-chan ^.~
i really enjoyed using this product. one of the claims was that you'd notice a difference in a day or something..? and i wouldn't say that was the case for me, but maybe after two days i did. one of the things that i liked about this product was that it was up to par with some of the more costly leave-in products that i have been using lately. i literally didn't notice a difference, and i mean this in a positive and good way. whenever i don't use leave-in products, my hair feels very coarse and dry and gets frizzy more easily. something to note too about this product, i was consistently using this daily for about a month and a half, which was about the length of the contest period. by the way, the contest period has already ended but i wanted to make its own post anyway. this is saying a lot, since lately, i've been rotating my leave-in products. another thing i liked about this product was that there is no noticeable or strong scent. hair products typically have some kind of scent to them and sometimes they bother me, but this one did not! i also liked how lightweight this oil felt, in comparison to other hair oils i used in the past. it spread quickly and evenly. the packaging, while being typical of most loreal hair products, was good. i also appreciated the pump cap which made it super easy to measurably dispense.
i typically used 6-8 pumps on wet hair, about chin-down and air dried.
i had absolutely no problems with this product and would consider purchasing it again when the need arises.
disclosure: I WAS NOT COMPENSATED FOR THIS POST, HOWEVER I DID RECEIVE SAMPLES FOR MY REVIEW. ALL OPINIONS ARE MY OWN AND NOT INFLUENCED IN ANY WAY.

october hauls - planner and makeup

hi guys! here's all the things i got in october!! thankfully i prewrote 90% of this post! w00t. there's a few things i ordered toward the end of october and didn't arrive til november, so they'll be in the november post. ~Lindsay

i wanted to put these early in the post so they're clear and visible -- my ulta packages contained  coupon codes for 30% off soap and glory products (excluding gift sets) through 12/31/17, code: glory30 and 25% off sleek makeup (excluding gift sets) through 12/31/17, code: sleek25. you're welcome!

sephora -- i got sephora collection cream lip stain set to try one or two of these shades, and the others are going into christmas gifts. and i also got the l'occitane holiday crackers set for the same reason because i love their amande and cherry blossom scents. for 100 points i redeemed for a mini of makeup forever's new blush in S214 and urban decay naked skin highlighting fluid in sin. and for the coupon code, i got urban decay's new troublemaker mascara.

S214, blackberry sorbet, blush nude, sin

ulta -- i saw that they had revlon's new holochrome nail polish collection, so i picked up hologasm and fairy dust (blue). they also had benefit's hoola bronzers on sale, so i went ahead and got both the original and lite. and they had maybelline bogo half off, so i got the master precise ink liquid liners in galactic metal and stellar sand. annnd a gift with purchase - garnier moisture bomb.
  • update: those polishes are not holo. well the blue one's not a true holo at least. so i returned them both because i was pretty indifferent about them. sorry for not including swatches!
walmart -- got another of the maybelline liners in violet nova, loreal infallible paints metallics eyeshadows in rose chrome, and a biore baking soda acne scrub

violet nova, galactic metal, stellar sand, rose chrome
ulta -- so, uhm, someone caved. i'm not going to bother swatching this out since there's like a gazillion photos and videos of this palette, but morphe is now carried at ulta and i ordered the jaclyn hill palette because discount code.
shoes! got a pair of feelgoodz slimz in cloud, heard about this brand in one of my college classes because my professor taught the founder/owner of the company. and these are super comfortable and i do recommend them! i also got two pairs of shoes from payless, a pair of dexflex bow wedges and christian siriano flats.

planner stuffs -- here's the link to my etsy list of purchased planner stuff
went a lil washi crazy at hobby lobby, and grabbed some metallic gel pens. also, i got this plaid washi at the target dollar spot in september, but it didn't fit in with any of the photos i took for that post, so i didn't mention it.
so. i made a few pbc orders. and i got a lotsa freebies in the process. >w<

TheCoffeeMonsterzCO -- i'm not actually trying to say anything by buying this sticker book, i will eventually use all of the stickers in it, but it was a good deal and so i decided to get it early.
