hi guys!!! here's the next one! january hauls..because i spent more on stickers than makeup this month, and this post was pretty much ready to go. LOL. ~Lin-chan ^.~

etsy: researched for a couple days, and decided to go with a bulbasaur from 6123D because the opening was much larger than most other shops, and there's a drainage hole. then, i picked out a couple succulents from ExoticSucculent

be a bombshell cosmetics blushes in sweet cheeks -- i had to get two because they're super cheap now and my favorite, according to my ipsy post, these used to be $16, but i got these for $6 each. wut?!
makeup geek: soft dome brush, baby face eyeshadow -- hitting major pan on this eyeshadow, and i decided to pick up another brush because it's awesome.
walgreens: loreal micellar water purifies & mattifies, covergirl trublend powder in 2 transluscent light
ulta: it cosmetics brow power, essence princess lash false lash mascara and make me brow gel
sephora: bite beauty agave lip balm, code freebie: glamglow volcasmic moisturizer

december favorites

hi guys! another late post! anyway, here are my december favorites and confusing products! ~Lin-chan ^.~

mad max brown, be my highlight

favorites:

1. it's skin cookie & body ice cream in original -- this is kind of an expensive lotion...but it's sooo good. the texture is so awesome and the scent is so yummm. something weird about it is that it has 'cookie' bits inside that look kind of weird and streaky.. but once you blend it in there's no weird dark streaks.
2. loreal purify & mattify pure-clay mask -- this mask has been great with helping my skin. i haven't had many skin issues since i've started using this mask once a week, and i've already purchased my second jar!
3. essence pure nude highlighter in be my highlight -- this is soo freakin inexpensive and so pretty and lit-within looking. i can't even. it's been what i've been using pretty much every day for the past month or two now.
4. kat von d tattoo liner in mad max brown -- when i first opened this to try, i was pretty underwhelmed. it's a ridiculously dark, nearly black brown. but after using it for a while, there's sometimes days that i really enjoy using brown for a 'softer' look than just black. and i've really been enjoying using it. i'm definitely considering buying a full size once this guy dies.
5. essence lash princess false lash effect mascara -- i so totally thought i already mentioned liking this mascara, but apparently i haven't. this guy is almost on its last leg, and i'm finally actually talking about it. i received this as a gift with purchase from ulta a while back and opened it up a few months ago. such a good mascara on the cheap. it has all of the benefits i love (length, volume, curl) without me trying. can't wait to go through my stash to buy a new one!
6. it bye bye under eye eye cream -- so sephora was giving out like a two week sample of this stuff as a code with an online order. there were like 14 little packets inside of a card or whatever. after opening the first one, i realized how much product was inside and decided to squeeze out all of the packets into a jar. literally this 'two week supply' feels like an entire jar to me. i mean, i've been using this for maybe a month now, and it feel like i've only used maybe 1.5 packets worth. look at how much is still in this jar! anyway, i really feel like this product is keeping my under eye area hydrated, and i use it on the sides of my nose since i tend to be pretty dry there, and it's been great with this super fickle louisiana weather!

undecided/confused:

1. nest holiday candle -- after burning this guy for a while, i'm pretty meh about it. like it's teeny tiny (2oz) for $16 regularly, and the scent fills up a small 10x10ish room, but doesn't really spread much further. the scent itself is amazing but i wish it were stronger for the price you pay for it.
2. sigma sigmagic brush shampoo -- this product is very weird. when i first started using it, i discounted it because it was not working for me. kabuki brushes with foundation looked terrible and i ended up supplementing other cleaners when attempting to use this product. when i got the brush mat for my sink, i tried using this again with it and it was amazing. what. so apparently this stuff only works well if it has a physical device to agitate the brushes. i also used this on a clean face sponge that was used dry with powder, and it ended up cleaning out liquid foundation that was dried into it from before the last time i cleaned it. whaaaat? ew.

october 2016 ipsy bag!

hi guys! i'm super excited about my october IPSY BAG*! (theme: black magic) which has a lot of stuff to try! since i got this bag on friday, i decided to test everything out on saturday! ~Lin-chan ^.~

here's my impressions:

1. makeup forever ultra hd invisible cover foundation in Y225 (5ml--mini, ret. $43 for 1.01oz [$7.20]) -- i actually already had a sample of this foundation prior, in this shade and it's ok. it's a bit too light for my skin, but the right tone. nothing a little bronzer can't fix. but i'm not sure i'd buy the full size though considering the cost and that i have an inexpensive drugstore foundation that i already like!
• likelihood to repurchase: maybe
2. kokie cosmetics nail polish in heavenly (16ml--full size, ret. $6) -- i like how this has a slightly wider, pinched brush. it made application a lot easier than most polishes. the only issue i have is the color, which i don't think goes very well with my skintone. it's not death like some in the past, but it's still like that pastel lilac not good on my asian, yellow-white skintone.
• likelihood to repurchase: probably not
3. pure brazilian leave in miracle (1oz--mini, ret. $6) -- this stuff was only ok. i sprayed it a few times into damp hair and brushed it through. my hair didn't really feel anything special from using it, and the scent was a bit weird but bearable and didn't linger.
• likelihood to repurchase: no
4. essence cosmetics superfine eyeliner pen waterproof  (.3oz--full size, ret. $2.99) -- this is a nice black liner. the felt tip is super long and stiff. and that's about as much positive things i can say about it. now the negative, it burned and irritated my skin when i was applying it and for maybe a minute or two afterward. a couple hours later, my eyes watered and it somewhat gracefully came off... BUT THIS LINER IS SUPPOSED TO BE WATERPROOF. tears, water. sooo different.

5. teeez cosmetics eve's ready to wear lipstick in romantic red (3.5g--full size, ret. $22) -- this is a very nice formula. super comfortable on the lips and stains a bit. i'm not totally into the shade, but it's pretty nice. looove the retro photos on the packaging, super cute!

• update, under treasure had a sad. somewhere online, i heard or saw that these are pretty unstable and can break pretty easily.. i was using this one for the first time and turned it upside-down while it was open, and the entire shadow fell out of the pan! thankfully there was a very large chunk and several small ones. so i just pressed the big piece back in.
